A Language Lab named ENGLISH FOR ALL

Together with the necessity of English language in today's world, SMK Benut English Language Panel has plan an unused room that used to be a detention room. There are so many damages in this room that we decided to collect sponsorship all around Malaysia to help us to build the room.

A proposal together with paper work has been emailed and faxed to the various NGO and government companies. We are still waiting for help in any terms as long it help us to use the room as soon as possible.  This effort has starter sincee July 2010 and yet it is still need more sponsporship in goods and cash.

Thanks to Asrama (Asli) SMK Benut, with the approval from the principle, Mr. Hasnan bin Jaafar who agreed to give us 40 table-chairs for the room. A Japanese table will be taken from the old canteen table. Shelves also will be taken from old Kemahiran Hidup Sewing Workshop. OXFORD FAJAR also responded to our email and agreed to sponsor books for the room. A trillion thanks to those who willing to help in making this room useable.

This is the draft of the proposal and paper work for the readers view. Hope that this effort will be noticed by people who really appreciate knowledge in order to help our generations to become a good Malaysian in future.

REQUESTING CASH AND/OR GOODS SPONSORSHIP FOR ENGLISH FOR ALL ROOM FOR SMK BENUT STUDENTS

2.         I am writing for you kind consideration to sponsor on our project of building an English for All room in our school. This project is planned by our English Language Panel in helping the students to acquire English better.

3.         The purposes of this project are:

4.1	To increase students’ mastery on English particularly for examination students of  Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) which will lead to school academic achievement
4.2	To assist the learning process by preparing teaching aids that can fulfill the Ministry of Education newest syllabus
4.3	To build a remedial  English classroom for the beginner and weak  students who have not yet acquire English
4.4	To create a conducive teaching and learning environment  that focusing more in English
4.5	To expose the students with fun and exciting learning via LCD, WebTV, computers and television through various English learning sources

4.         This project will be on-going process as this room will be used for all subjects, with priority on English due our main purposes. The room will be utilized by all students from Form 1 to Form 6.

5.         Therefore, I would like to invite your company to participate in this project and together we can contribute to the community especially to the sub-urban students to meet their needs in education.

6.         We intended to raise sponsor of cash and goods with cost of RM 22,450 as stated in the paper work.

7.         I wish for your kind consideration in supporting us in this project by becoming one of the main sponsors of this project. Your sponsorship in kind would allow us to carry the project as soon as possible.

English Room for All

2.      Objectives :

4.      The Room:

There is one unused class room Delima Block and will be used as English for All room. This room does not have any teaching and learning equipment and furniture and yet there is major damage in this room. (Photos on sheet 1) This room will be renovated in becoming two parts, where ¾ of this room will be used as regular classroom and the students will seat on chairs. Meanwhile, the remaining parts will be used for remedial class. The remedial students will have an enjoyable learning by sitting on the floor with Japanese table. We also will create Mini library to increase students’ interest in reading especially in English among students. The plan of this room is drawn on sheet 2.

What this is for?

This blogspot is for all English learners all over the world, particularly to SMK Benut students. Here, students are able to copy sample of good essays posted in this blog in all topic of interest. In order to save time in class, teacher instructs the students to copy the sample essay in their Composition book as a guide -  no more handouts: save paper, safe the trees, save the world :) .Students also can chat and leave comments as a way to communicate with the teacher online. This is another approach of teaching and learning parallel with the technology nowadays. It is hoped that this blog will help all the English learners by sharing any information regarding the English subject.
